Show Notes

Here is your much awaited SnackWalls Episode #32

A while back we spoke with Paul Lopushinsky about the importance of maintaining a playful culture to retain diverse talent. It turns out there are 8 types of playful personalities. Some companies will set up ping pong tables or happy hours to keep employees engaged, but he has found that these methods do not work on all personalities. Organizations should seize the opportunity to customize their onboarding experience and show new employees that they are valued. Paul mentioned that many fields can benefit from the notion of using projects to show readiness of a position vs a degree with no experience.  The apprenticeship model has been used for thousands of years for a reason, it works.

Paul founded Playficient to help organizations with their employee experience through the use of the design thinking process. He also believes that having a strong onboarding process will help employees get up to speed quickly and reduce turnover in the long term. Paul works with organizations to create a playful mentality in the workplace for all employees.
